I continue to be amazed at the great talents of the late John Denver! I've only discovered songs like 'African Sunrise', 'Don't be Kind', 'A Wild Heart Looking for a Home',the spiritual 'On the Wings of a Dream' and the classic but ironically haunting 'The Wings that Fly us Home'.

This is the best collection of lesser known classic material by JD. Outstanding!

This is hands down the perfect John Dever album. John had always been at his best live, and this release is no exception. It is a line up consisting of his greatest classics, blended smoothly with his newest releases- with a few surprise selections thrown in (try "Darcy Farrow", "Bet on the Blues", and "Dreamland Express"). The result will move you through every emotion- leaving you with a smile on your face and a tear in your eye. Who can argue the beauty of "For You", or the thrill of "Eagles and Horses". "Take Me Home, Country Roads" will remind you of when you origanlly fell in love with John's music, and "Whispering Jesse" will remind you why. It is the perfect blend of country, folk, easy listening, western, and rock styles that leaving you screaming for more. Thanks for this one John!

I got this DVD and listened to it twice the first night. John helps me to appreciate the world around me and this DVD is a celebration of just that. I wish I could express my profound enjoyment of this work. The sound is stunning. The quality outstanding. I will never buy a DVD again that is not 5:1. I feel this piece may have spoiled me. Buy it for an incredible entertainment experience. I promise you will feel good after hearing it.

Perfect album for quite reflection on his life and music.
Reviewer: A music fan from Alexandria, Va. (USA)      December 21, 1998
This album,John Denver live, features no only his best songs but a short description of the songs in the artists' own words. You also get to hear the interaction of the crowd. Since he will never perform live again (God rest his soul) this is the next best thing.
