Honey Harvest:

The next harvest is expected in late September. Judging by the sustained monsoon rains, the wildflower bloom has the potential to be very strong. Product will likely be available in early October 2008.

A mesquite honey harvest was gathered in July. All of that product has been sold. Also, a small quantity of early-season wildflower honey was harvested, but has been sold out too.

Swarm Season:

We will remove bees and swarms; however, there are practical limits to what we will attempt. Call us if you have bees you want removed. Also, you are welcome to call us--(575) 536-9772--if you have questions about steps you can take to discourage bees from taking up residence on your property.

Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD):

This mysterious honeybee malady continues to be a problem in many parts of the United States. It has serious implications on the role honeybees play in the production of the human food supply. The experts are at work trying to get a handle on the disorder. Thankfully, CCD has not yet become a problem for honeybees in southwestern New Mexico.
