Double
E Ranch is the home of your hosts, Debbie and Alan Eggleston

Debbie
and Alan Eggleston are living their life-long dream of owning their own
working cattle ranch! Debbie, a former Admin Assistant, and Alan, a recently
retired Airline Pilot, have both had a long-standing
passion for Cowboys, Horses, and the Old West. They are now
lucky
enough to be living their dreams at the Double E Ranch in Gila,
NM! Alan is an
expert horseman, patient instructor. They've been
sharing this spectacular New Mexico ranching lifestyle with folks
like you since 1997 when they opened their doors for guest
ranching.
You're invited to participate in the daily ranch
activities and ride for the Double E Brand. You'll begin your visit as guests but most
guests usually leave the Ranch as friends! Why not join
them for the experience of your lifetime!

Double E
Ranch Dogs:
"Jammer" and
"Precious"
Both "Jammer" and "Precious"
are Catahoula dogs, bred for hunting wild hogs in the southeast.
Ranchers found they work well for gathering cattle in the rugged,
brushy southwest. When these dogs find cattle, they will bark
and circle the cows, keeping them bunched till human help arrives. |
|
|
|
|
 |
"Tilley"
"Tilley" is also a Catahoula.
These dogs are loyal, friendly, protective, loving and eager to
please. We love our Catahoula dogs! |

|
|
 |
"Shadow"
"Shadow" is our Australian
Shepherd and follows Alan everywhere he goes. She loves
joining him for a cattle drive, helping to push cows back to
headquarters. |
