Function: To take available technical, financial and educational resources, whatever their source, and focus or coordinate them so that they meet the needs of the local land manager with conservation of soil, water and related natural resources.

SWCDs are: A governmental subdivision of the state of New Mexico organized under state law Chapter 73, Article 20.

Mission Statement: To develop and provide assistance, educational resources, coordination and leadership to the conservation of soil and water.

The San Francisco SWCD regularly meets at 10:00 AM the first Monday of each month at the Catron County Courthouse in Reserve, New Mexico. The San Francisco SWCD follows the Open Meetings Act and we invite the public to join us at our meetings.
